Gather the Supplies
Before you begin painting your bathroom cabinet, you’ll need to make sure that you have all the tools and supplies that you need. You’ll need a good quality paintbrush, some painter’s tape, a can of primer, a can of acrylic paint, a drop cloth, and a few rags. Make sure you have all of these supplies before you start the painting process.
Prepare the Cabinet
Now that you have your supplies, it’s time to prepare the cabinet for painting. Start by removing all of the hardware, such as handles and hinges, and set them aside. Next, use a damp cloth to wipe down the cabinet to remove any dust or dirt. If the cabinet is made of wood, you’ll want to sand it down to create a smooth surface. Finally, use painter’s tape to cover any areas that you don’t want to paint.
Apply the Primer
Once the cabinet is completely prepped, it’s time to apply the primer. Start with a light coat, using an up and down motion with the brush. Work in small sections and make sure to get into all of the crevices and corners. Once you’ve finished the first coat, allow it to dry completely before applying a second coat. Once the primer has dried, you’re ready to start painting!

Once the second coat has dried, you can add a third coat for extra protection and shine.
Finish the Cabinet
Once the cabinet is completely painted, it’s time to finish it off. Remove any excess paint with a damp rag. If you want to give the cabinet a glossy finish, you can add a coat of clear sealant. You can also choose to add a new coat of hardware, such as handles and hinges, to give the cabinet a fresh look. Once you’re finished, your bathroom cabinet is ready to be used.
